The following day I attended Breathe New Hampshire's Gift Wrapping fundraiser at the Manchester Barnes and Noble. I helped wrap gifts for the customers, in hopes of raising money for Breathe NH so that they can continue to help the state of NH's air quality and provide assistants to the residents of NH in regards to medical problems brought on by smoking and air quality. Please come out and support Breathe NH by getting your gifts wrapped at multiple locations in NH throughout the month of December! I will be gift wrapping again on Sunday, December 16 from 2-4 at the Manchester Harley Davidson!

Santa Shuffle and Gift Wrapping!
Last Saturday, December 1st, I attended the Santa Shuffle in Manchester, NH with Miss Weirs Beach, Devenn Glickman! The 5k race had approximately 3,000 participants, in which most were dressed as Santa Clauses! It was an amazing site! There were 2 miles of Santas running through downtown Manchester and the holiday spirit was all around! Following the Santa Shuffle I headed to the Spirit of New Hampshire Parade. I cruised through my first parade in style, in a GT Mustang provided to us by Paul's Executive Car Care! It was an absolute blast!

Making a Difference; Saving Lives; Donating Blood!
Yesterday, November 29th, I decided to stop by the Red Cross Blood Center on Reservoir Ave in Manchester, New Hampshire and donate blood. I am a constant blood donor, typically donating every 56 days, as that is the waiting period. Due to being sick, however, I was long over due for a donation! Every time I stop by a drive to volunteer, donate, or go to the center it is the same feeling of absolute amazingness as I give the gift of life. Just one donation of a pint of blood can save up to three people's lives! The need for blood is constant, and you never know when someone you might know or love will need blood. So be active and donate! It is the best gift you can give this holiday season. It is free, constantly needed, always appreciated, and life changing.

FisherCats Thanksgiving 5k
This morning, Nov. 22, Thanksgiving Day I attended the FisherCats Thanksgiving 5k Race at the FisherCats Stadium in Manchester, New Hampshire hosted by Millennium Running. I was there with my sister titleholder, Katie McClain, Miss Manchester and Miss New Hampshire, Megan Lyman! This was my first appearance as Miss Amoskeag Falls and it was a wonderful time! We started at the start line cheering on the 2,700 plus runners and then went to the finish line to greet the runners as they finished the 5k race. It was a great experience to see everyone with their families and children accomplishing the 5K as they crossed the finish line! I am excited to be attending the Santa's Shuffle hosted by Millennium Running, which is another 5k, which will be hosted on December 1, 2012! I hope everyone has a fabulous Thanksgiving Day!

My platform is Changing Lives: Donating Blood and Bone Marrow. My talent is Speed Painting, which for Miss Amoskeag Falls I painted an image of Einstein to the song "300 Violin Orchestra". I am very excited for this upcoming year! :D
