SO sorry for the lack of updates on my blog! I have been so busy and life is flying by! Christmas vacation went by like a blink of an eye! On January 7th I started student teaching at Pembroke Academy! I have a sophomore honors world literature class, sophomore literacy workshop class, and a freshman literature class! The early mornings are definitely a change, but I wouldn't trade them for the world! I am having a blast teaching and have no doubt in my mind that this is what I was meant to do!!
Along with student teaching, I have been juggling my outside job, Miss NH prep, and my volunteering with the American Red Cross Blood Services and DKMS Americas Bone Marrow Registry! Most of my efforts right now have been dedicated to the 2nd Annual Bone, Blood and Beauty Drive which will be held on February 19th from 1-6pm at Promises To Keep, Derry, NH! We will be holding a blood drive and a bone marrow drive! Rig-A-Tony's in Derry, NH will be donating their delicious italian cuisine and Arbonne will be doing free hand treatments for all the donors! All donors will receive a free ski pass, a Red Cross T-shirt and a free appetizer to Chili's Bar and Grill! They will also be given a raffle ticket for our awesome raffle prizes! We will be raffling off complimentary tickets to Canobie Lake Park, 2 ski passes to Pat's Peak, 2 ski passes to Nashoba Valley, 2 tubbing passes to Nashoba Valley, and a $20 gift card to Shorty's Grill.

When making an appointment online, search for the Promises To Keep blood drive and just schedule a time that works for you! Please take the hour out of your day to make a difference in someone's life! A single car accident victim can use 4-100 pints of blood and the chance of a patient finding a bone marrow match is 1 in 20,000! Blood and Bone Marrow donations are critical and need attention! Make a difference and give the gift of life!
